The Power of Breath

The breath is an immensely important part of yoga and life. Getting the breath to flow freely and fully and allowing the breath to guide you into movement can transform your practice. The breath has the power to energize and vitalize your whole being as well as allow your nervous system to calm down. In this workshop you will gain a thorough understanding of how the breath functions. You will learn how to get out of your own way so that the diaphragm can function effectively and the breath flow freely. You will experience how the movement of the breath relates to the movement of the spine and how you can use your breath to lead you into your asanas. We will take the knowledge of how the breath functions into a breath-led asana practice and end with deep relaxation aided by the calming power of the breath.
